SETTING UP A TRANSITION STREETS GROUP FOR YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
If you're keen to set up a Transition Streets group for your street - that's wonderful!
You can download our Transition Streets Canberra flyers here. If you're up for it, you can print these out at home, and drop them in your neighbours' letterboxes to promote the program.
If you want to hold a Street Party to meet your neighbours first, then you can download and print out our street party invitations here, add your street party's details to the invites, and drop them off at your neighbours' homes!
If you need a bit more help and advice on how to go about setting up your neighbourhood group, you can download our 2-page step-by-step guide, here or read it in full below!
And here's a message you can adapt (or just write your own!) to send to your friends:
I just signed up for the Canberra Transition Streets program. It's a free 7-session program that we can do together, sort of like a book club, except instead of reading books, we meet up every couple of weeks together and work out ways to live more sustainably. The sessions cover waste and consumer power, energy, food, water and transport. Do you want to join me? Read more about the program and sign up here!
